Join us as we celebrate Cheney's 100th year with a day filled with fun activities, all happening on the grounds of Cheney Mansion!

Spring Plant Sale
Sun, May 19, 9am-12pm
Heirloom and organic tomatoes are back! Our 16th annual plant sale features a wide variety of weathertested, hardy perennials grown here at the gardens of Cheney Mansion.

Woodland Waterfall Ribbon Cutting
Sun, May 19, 12-1pm
Join us as we cut the ribbon for the beautifully restored Woodland Waterfall feature. On June 29, long- time Oak Park resident Dr. Audrey L. Kouvel presented a generous $54,000 donation to the Parks Foundation of Oak Park to restore the historic Woodland Waterfall Garden located in the southeast corner of the two acre grounds of Cheney Mansion. This significant landscape element is more than 100 years old, and has not been in working order for more than 30 years. Once completed, this restored element will enhance the already stunning grounds of Cheney Mansion.

Enjoy an old fashioned picnic in the park. Bring your picnic lunch and blanket. Lemonade and Ice Tea will be provided. Old fashioned picnic/party games too!

Walk-In Wednesdays
Wednesdays, 11am-2pm
Open House. Tour the many beautiful rooms of this 1913 mansion. Light refreshments. No admission fee, but please bring a non-perishable food item for donating to the OP Food Pantry. Hours subject to change.
