Special Events at the Mansion
StoryWalk at Cheney Mansion
Sept 7 - Oct 5 (when grounds are open)
Opening reception Sept 7 at 10am.
A collaboration with the Park District of Oak Park and Oak Park Public Library, StoryWalk at Cheney Mansion combines physical activity with literacy, and is an innovative way to get people of all ages out walking while reading children’s picture books. Pages of a book are transformed into signs that are then laid out on a trail inviting families, children, caregivers, teachers and others to follow the path of pages to complete the story. Featuring Oh, No! by Candace Fleming and Eric Rohman. See flyer or read more about StoryWalk at OPPL.
