The Park District offers classes and programs at Cheney Mansion each season - programs below are divided by family, kids, and adult classes. Cooking Classes for Young Chefs (Ages 8-12)

“Kids Cook!” provides a win-win opportunity! While the kids enjoy these fun cooking sessions in the catering kitchen of Cheney Mansion, parents have the evening free for a quiet, relaxing meal at their favorite eatery! Taught by professional chef Ron Martin, classes are a combination of hands-on and demonstration, training young chefs in the basic techniques of various cooking methods and kitchen skills. Limited to 8 students. $35/$40 per session.

“Leaping” into Chocolate
Friday, Feb 10, 6-8:30 pm

To celebrate this leap year, create a decadent Chocolate Mousse Tart, and learn how to properly coat a variety of fresh fruit with 3 different types of chocolate. Yes, of course, you get to taste them all!
